RFHIC’s RIU256K0-40T is a 6kW, gallium-nitride (GaN) solid-state microwave generator which operates from 2400~2500 MHz. It has a system efficiency of 54% and is capable of both CW and pulsed operations. The microwave generator is equipped with four 1.6kW gallium-nitride (GaN) solid-state power amplifiers (SSPAs) packaged in a stand alone rack-mountable shelf. The RIU256K0-40T is equipped with RFHIC’s software suite allowing users to generate and stabilize the desired frequency, power level, phase, and signal source digitally. Unlike traditional vacuum tubes (magnetrons, klystrons, and traveling-wave tube amplifier (TWTA), this device provides precise signal controllability and far less spurious harmonics. All complete microwave generator systems come with a power supply unit (PSU), GaN solid-state power amplifiers (SSPA), cable assembly, and waveguide converter. The microwave generator uses a WR284 waveguide combiner and requires water cooling.
