RFHIC Presents at the 2025 Defense Semiconductor Forum, Highlighting Korea’s Path Toward Self-Reliance in Defense Semiconductor Technology
Seoul, Republic of Korea – November 10, 2025
RFHIC participated in the 2025 Defense Semiconductor Development Forum held at the FKI Tower in Yeouido, Seoul, on November 10, where the company presented its perspectives on the development and localization of Korea’s defense semiconductor industry. Hosted by the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) and co-organized by the Agency for Defense Development (ADD) and the Korea Defense Industry Association (KDIA), the forum brought together over 300 participants from government agencies, academia, defense contractors, and semiconductor companies.

The Head of RFHIC’s Defense Business Division delivered a presentation titled “Current Status of Defense Projects and Challenges for Localization of Defense Semiconductors from an Industry Perspective.” In the presentation, RFHIC shared key updates on its ongoing defense projects and export achievements, proposing strategies for securing a self-reliant defense semiconductor supply chain, internalizing core technologies, and fostering a collaborative industrial ecosystem through civil–military cooperation.
The Defense Semiconductor Development Forum served as a collaborative platform for sharing policies and strengthening cooperation to enhance K-Defense capabilities in response to the rapidly changing security landscape. The event featured a keynote address by Professor Hyuk-Jae Lee, Director of the Inter-University Semiconductor Research Center at Seoul National University, alongside speakers from DAPA, the Korea Institute of S&T Evaluation and Planning (KISTEP), and the National NanoFab Center (NNFC).

As a global leader in GaN-based RF and semiconductor solutions, RFHIC continues to pioneer high-performance technologies across defense, telecommunications, and energy sectors. Through participation in this forum, RFHIC reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the domestic defense semiconductor ecosystem, strengthening national security, and enhancing the global competitiveness of Korea’s defense industry.
“RFHIC will continue close collaboration with government agencies, research institutions, and industry partners to drive innovation and achieve technological self-reliance in defense semiconductors.”
— Head of Defense Business Division, RFHIC
